Develop the vision, align and build your team.

The Honsha Japan Executive Development Mission brings leaders from around the world to experience the birthplace of Lean. For over 7 years organizations have used the Honsha Japan EDM to develop and align their leadership teams.

Objectives

Guided by Toyota veterans and other Lean thought leaders.

  • To study the background and structure of Toyota Production System
  • To learn how companies, large and small, manufacturing and non-manufacturing, lead and manage world class organizations using Lean techniques and thinking.
  • To develop a global network of fellow participants, relationships that can last a lifetime.
  • Learn at a Dojo, immersed in lean simulations and open discussions with former Toyota trainers.
  • Engage with former Toyota executives in formal and casual discussions.

The 10th edition features Lean thought leaders and Shingo award winning authors Mark Graban and Dan Markovitz. Spend the week engaged in one on one and group discussion with two of the world’s Lean leaders.

  • “[…]For us this was a very inspiring travel that we already had on our wish list for a long time. Specially we would like to thank the Honsha team and of course Miyuky. We hope that you have a safe trip home or that you will enjoy your further stay in Japan.”

    René and Wiebe

  • “I had the privilege to attend the Honsha EDM in Japan in October 2015. Also attending were seventeen colleagues from different industries scattered around the world. We all had different experiences with Lean development and implementation.”

    Skip Himes

  • “[…]To me, this experience has forced me to think and ask me a lot about my future, about everything that I still like to be able to perform professionally, and above of all, it makes me think about what I can do to be happier and fulfilled with myself.”

    Ana Ferreira

  • “[…]I also find myself thinking about many of things we observed and am amazed at how I am still processing many of those observations. I have a ton of ideas on how to move this forward in my operation.”
