Hello, I’m Ana Paula Pereira, a business consultant with a deep passion for the TPS (Toyota Production System). Through my foundational learning at Toyota do Brasil, I’ve been able to develop expertise across various areas, from the operational aspects of the factory floor to strategic planning and business management. I’m a native of Brazil, born in São Paulo, and from a young age, I’ve nurtured a fascination for solving intricate problems and contributing to companies striving for excellence.
I hold a degree in Production Engineering from the Faculty of Industrial Engineering (FEI), a prestigious institution in Brazil renowned for its focus on management, innovation, and technology. During my academic journey, I honed my analytical, strategic, and leadership skills, which have proven to be indispensable in my career as a Lean consultant.
With more than 18 years of experience spanning diverse fields of activity, I’ve cultivated a comprehensive understanding of production and administrative processes, working with startups to multinational corporations in sectors like food, technology, manufacturing, and healthcare. Over the years, I’ve amassed an impressive portfolio of companies from various industries to which I’ve had the privilege of contributing.
For instance, in a globally recognized technology company, known for its wide array of products including desktops, notebooks, and printers, I played a pivotal role in the advanced RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) solution project, providing end-to-end supply chain visibility, enhancing processes from inventory management to quality control.
At another company grappling with significant productivity and quality challenges, I conducted a thorough analysis of production processes, identifying areas for optimization and improved product quality. I actively participated in the “Go live” implementation of the SAP ERP system.
In yet another role at a company with an extensive product and service portfolio, I was involved in the energy networks and utilities solutions division. I led the nationalization process of products, overseeing project progress through the coordination of multidisciplinary teams while also analyzing manufacturing processes and recommending improvements for cost reduction.
My journey also includes contributing to a pharmaceutical industry leader, renowned worldwide for its medicines. Faced with critical productivity issues and high wastage rates, I conducted a meticulous process assessment, proposing improvements that resulted in significant cost reduction.
I must not overlook the company where I had the privilege of immersing myself in the essence of Lean methodology. It marked a profound cultural transformation, both professionally and personally, that significantly advanced my career and brought me to Honsha, where I can share my journey with you.
Beyond my professional endeavors, which I’m deeply passionate about, I hold my family in the highest regard. As a constantly evolving mother and wife, I firmly believe in the importance of nurturing both professional and personal aspects in a balanced manner. Spending time with my family and loved ones is essential, as it provides the energy and enthusiasm that fuels my daily life.
As a Lean consultant, I place immense value on my personal and professional values, which have been the cornerstone of this journey that I take great pride in. I champion professional ethics and tirelessly uphold integrity and a commitment to excellence.
My approach is to tailor solutions for each client based on their specific needs and expectations, always with a strategic focus. Transparency, trust, and open communication form the bedrock of my work, and my priority is building enduring relationships with clients and partners.
