I worked at Toyota do Brasil from 1988 to 2004, including an international assignment at the Kamigo Plant in Japan between 1990 and 1993.

As a Production Manager, I collaborated closely with management and production teams to plan, direct, and oversee manufacturing operations using Toyota Production System principles. My responsibilities included analyzing technology and resource requirements, coordinating projects, and developing detailed plans to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.

I was also actively involved in Quality Control (QC) Circle activities and kaizen, focusing on improving working conditions and fostering a positive work environment—efforts that contributed to measurable gains in safety, quality, and productivity.

In 2004, I chose to pursue a new challenge and moved to the United States. Since then, I have worked as a Honsha consultant across multiple regions, including Mexico, Spain, Lithuania, the United States, and South America. Throughout this journey, I have supported the implementation of TPS concepts in a wide range of industries, including pet care, glass lenses, metallurgy, banking, restaurants, and electronic components.

These experiences have reinforced my belief that Lean principles can be applied to any process, regardless of industry. Successful transformation, however, always begins with a deep understanding of processes, customer needs, and organizational culture.

After several years living in Massachusetts, I am now based in West Palm Beach, Florida, where I enjoy spending time with my family — especially fishing and playing tennis with my son year-round.
