Hello, I am Haroldo Seiji Hayashi, a Senior Consultant at Honsha.org and an operational transformation agent. With a hands-on approach and a strong focus on results, I connect the shop floor to executive leadership to accelerate the implementation of essential Lean practices that strengthen the value stream — including Standardized Work, VSM, Kaizen, 4S+S, FMDS, TPM, SMED, and structured problem solving (TBP/QC Circle).

My professional experience was built over 31 years at Toyota do Brasil, always within the Quality Control area. I worked at the São Bernardo do Campo plant and was also assigned to Toyota’s headquarters operations in Japan (Kamigo Engine Plant) between 1991 and 1992 for technical and managerial training — an experience that strengthened my practical and systemic perspective on TPS/Lean. My final position was General Manager of Quality Control at the Sorocaba and Indaiatuba plants.

I hold a degree in Mechanical Industrial Engineering (EEI, 1989) and a specialization in Business Administration (ESPM, 1995). My qualifications include planning, implementing, and managing Quality Systems across production processes, inspection, audits, and KPIs, as well as developing quality culture, shop floor management, waste reduction, supplier development, and performance improvement initiatives.

Today, as a consultant, I support organizations in achieving operational excellence through cultural transformation, waste elimination, and measurable gains in quality and productivity. My experience also includes global interaction with vehicle and auto parts operations, with technical visits to the United States, Mexico, Argentina, the United Kingdom, Taiwan, Thailand, and Singapore, in addition to multiple assignments and visits to Toyota’s headquarters in Japan.

I also led the implementation of the Dojo (Quality Training Center) and the QLC (Quality Learning Center), reinforcing capability development and continuous improvement across operations.

At my core, I am driven by transformational action — not just understanding, but making things happen. Through discipline, respect, teamwork, and transparency, I engage both operators and leaders to drive meaningful, robust, and sustainable change.
