Hello! I’m Sidney Kitadani Satake, a Lean business management consultant with experience in the Toyota Production System (TPS) since 2001, with 10 years of experience in the automotive industry and 12 years in consultancy. I reside in Itapema-SC.
I hold a degree in Civil Engineering from the State University of Campinas with a focus on logistics, a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), and certification in Supply Chain Management (Basic) from APICS.
My journey began in 2001 at Toyota do Brasil, where I served as a Quality Control engineer, responsible for implementing the Raw Materials Quality System at the Brazilian and Argentine units. Over six years at Toyota, I underwent training in Japan and the USA, gaining hands-on experience at the Indaiatuba Plant and immersing myself in TPS.
Following that, I spent three years at Hyundai-CAOA, working at the Anápolis-GO plant as a Painting Process Manager and Quality Manager during the launch of the HR vehicle’s production. I also worked as a Supply Chain consultant specializing in Lean at Axia Value Chain and as a Supplier Quality Manager at Continental Automotive.
With over 12 years of experience in business management consultancy, I’ve collaborated with clients such as Alpargatas, Mars, and Raízen, contributing to various aspects of their business, including preparing Operation Flows and Standards for training, calculating Safety Stocks, supporting Planning Control, and providing training in Lean methodologies such as 5S, Standardized Work, PDCA, and Kaizen Teian.
During my leisure time, I enjoy walks along Itapema beach with my wife, and I’m fond of running and playing tennis to maintain a healthy balance between my personal and professional life.
My life’s purpose is to share knowledge, help people learn about TPS, and assist companies in improving their performance to achieve extraordinary results.
