Hello, I’m Tony Chamblin.
I retired from Toyota Motor Corporation after a 20-year career, where I held several roles in the Paint department. During that time, I developed a strong foundation in the Toyota Production System and the Toyota Way, working hands-on with standardized work, workstation design, and practical problem solving. I was also actively involved in coaching Quality Circles, applying Jidoka and andon, and leading Kaizen activities.
For five of those years, I led the Production Improvement Team, where I organized and facilitated internal Kaizen events, trained team members in core Lean skills, and supported problem solving across multiple Toyota plants using Toyota Business Practices. I also had the opportunity to mentor others in TPS and oversee special projects.
I am a certified TPS trainer, a Toyota Global Production Center trainer, and a Toyota Business Practices (8-Step Problem Solving) trainer.
Since 2009, I have supported the University of Kentucky True Lean program as an instructor and coach, working with organizations across a wide range of industries, from banking to aerospace. I also joined Honsha that same year, contributing to projects in sectors including mining and government.
Today, I live in Kentucky with my family and continue to share my experience helping organizations develop their people and improve their processes.
