Hello! I am Paulo Young, a business consultant driven by a passion for streamlining and enhancing processes and businesses. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, I developed a keen interest from an early age in simplifying complex procedures, making them more agile, and ensuring they are easily comprehensible through visual representations. This approach allows companies and their resources to achieve their maximum potential.

My educational background comprises a degree in Electrical Engineering from the State University of Amazonas (UEA) and Faculdade Metropolitana (FAMETRO). I also completed an MBA in Strategic Business and Market Management from the University of São Paulo (USP), a renowned institution in Brazil. Throughout my academic journey, I honed my analytical, strategic, and leadership skills, which have played a pivotal role in my career as a Lean consultant.

With over 10 years of industry experience, I have worked extensively with diverse clients, ranging from startups to multinational corporations, spanning various sectors such as technology, manufacturing, retail, financial services, and healthcare. Presently, I am engaged in international initiatives focused on cultural transformation and the direct application of Lean methodologies across various operational and workflow areas, as well as within diverse company processes.

Over the years, I have built an impressive portfolio of served companies, some of which include:
⦁ San Diego State University (SDSU): The oldest and largest higher education institution in the San Diego region, with a founding history dating back to 1897 and an array of over 90 degree programs. I’ve had the opportunity to share my insights as a Lean Honsha Sensei.
⦁ Raízen: A key player in Brazil’s sugar and alcohol sector, serving as the largest sugarcane ethanol producer in the country and the leading individual exporter of cane sugar globally. Its operations encompass various stages of production, from sugar cane cultivation to the manufacturing of sugar and ethanol, energy cogeneration, logistics, transportation, distribution, and fuel retail through Shell-branded service stations and convenience stores in Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay.
⦁ P&G: An American multinational consumer goods corporation specializing in a diverse range of personal health and consumer health products, as well as personal care and hygiene products. Its product portfolio spans multiple segments, including beauty, hygiene, healthcare, fabric and home care, and baby, feminine, and family care.
⦁ L’Oreal de Paris: A French multinational cosmetics company headquartered in Clichy, renowned for its expertise in hair products (including shampoos and coloring), perfumes, sunscreens, and dermatological products. Operating in 130 countries, L’Oréal stands as a global leader in the cosmetics industry, with sales exceeding 14 billion euros in 2003. It maintains 290 subsidiaries, 42 factories, and employs over 67,000 professionals from 100 different nationalities.

In addition to my professional commitments at HONSHA, I place great emphasis on nurturing personal relationships. Strong networking not only bridges people from different fields but also facilitates benchmarking and the exchange of experiences. Establishing enduring relationships with my clients and partners remains a paramount focus. I prioritize allocating time for my hobbies, which include traveling, playing the piano, and engaging in physical activities to ensure a balance between physical and mental well-being.

My personal and professional values serve as the cornerstone of my consulting work. I firmly believe in a tireless work ethic, integrity, and a relentless commitment to excellence. Striving to understand not just what the client wants but what they genuinely need, I adopt a comprehensive approach to understand their requirements fully and offer strategic, personalized solutions. In a transparent manner, I connect Lean methodologies and its culture with the specific needs and business context of the sectors in which I operate.
