Hello! I’m Sidney Kitadani Satake, a business management consultant with over 22 years of experience in the Toyota Production System (TPS), including 10 years in the automotive industry and 12 years in consultancy across various industries. I am from São Paulo-SP and currently reside in Itapema-SC.

I hold a degree in Civil Engineering from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) with a focus on transport logistics. I also possess a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) and a certificate in Supply Chain Management (Basic) from APICS.

My journey began in 2001 at Toyota do Brasil, where I served as a quality control engineer. In this role, I was responsible for implementing the Raw Materials Quality System at the Brazilian and Argentine units and for the nationalization of parts in the New Corolla project (9th generation). Over the course of six years at Toyota, I received training in Japan and the USA and gained firsthand experience on the factory floor at the Indaiatuba Plant, immersing myself in the Toyota Production System.

Subsequently, I spent three years at Hyundai–CAOA, working at the Anápolis–GO plant as a Painting Process Manager and Quality Manager during the launch of the HR vehicle’s production. I also worked as a Supply Chain consultant specializing in Lean at Axia Value Chain, a Supply Chain consultancy, and as a Supplier Quality Manager at Continental Automotive, at the Guarulhos plant.

With more than 12 years of experience in business management consultancy, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients from various sectors, including Alpargatas – Campina Grande and Montes Claros, MARS – Abreu e Lima and Mogi Mirim, Starpack, Raízen, Siemens Energy, Gcabe, and Cofiban. I’ve contributed to various aspects of business, ranging from preparing Operation Flows in new factories and developing Operating Standards to providing training, as seen at Alpargatas in Montes Claros. I’ve also assisted in activities such as safety stock calculation, supporting Planning, and delivering training and certification in Lean methodologies like 5S, Standardized Work, PDCA, Kaizen Teian, and VSM for other clients.

During my leisure time, I enjoy strolling along Itapema beach with my wife, exploring the natural beauty of the region. I’m passionate about cooking, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and pursuing my hobbies, which include tennis and running, to maintain a healthy balance between my personal and professional life.

As a Lean consultant, I’ve discovered my life’s purpose, which is to share the knowledge I’ve acquired, help people learn about TPS, and assist companies in improving their performance to achieve extraordinary results.
